Both individuals, non-profits and businesses accounts can post a non-commerrcial event.
Events can be most any Pubic Event, from State Fairs to art-shows to garage-sales. The Event
listings serve as a community event calendar. Many private events can also be created. Private
events must not be for commercial purposes. Private events are not searchable or made readily
available to the public.
Birthday parties, wedding and baby showers, weddings, etc., are typical private events. With private
events you can enter email addresses and send out email invitations. The Majic Genie includes an RSVP
feature allowing invited guests to let you know if they can come or not, how many in their party, and for
children's birthdays or other family events the guests can list how many adults and how many children are
coming.
Private events also include a Gift (or Item) Registry where one can list the gifts they are needing and
the guests can check off which gift(s) they are bringing. This way the bride and groom won't get 10 sets of
pots and pans and no blender, or mixer, etc., for their wedding presents.
Events where admission is charged can also be accomodated, including online ticket sales, additional fees
will apply.
To list your events and use the Majic Genie Event services you will need to create an account and login.
After you login the 'my genie' menu item becomes visible on the
menu line on top of the pages. Click on 'my genie' to set your account settings and create
your events.

We offer simple, basic business listings for free. Your business name, address and phone number
will appear in lists for matching searches, but, you cannot include links in your listing, you
cannot post ads or coupons or use the email list management features, nor will your company
receive price quote requests. But, you can get a free business listing. You will need to create a Business Account.

Did you receive a Majic Genie Customer Coupon Voucher from a participating retailer?
On the Home page (this help information may be covering it), on the left hand side of
the screen, the light blue input box, above it says "Enter The Majic
Code" and below is a Go (lamp) button. Enter the Majic Code printed on the customer appreciation voucher
and press the Go button. You will be taken to the customer appreciation page for that store. There
you sign-up for that stores email list (you can set prefrences, or choose to cancel (opt-out) any time
you wish). After signing up for their email list you can print out the special discount coupon that store
is offering to it's customers through the Majic Genie site.
To perform searches, either enter keywords in the Search Keywords input
field on the Home page,
just above the Search (lamp) button. Majic Genie automatically tries to determine your location by
zip-code. It then selects to search in a 10 mile radius from the center of your zip-code.
By default the search type is set to search for General Items new and used from stores and individuals)
and Business Services (any business services, from carpet cleaning to hair salon to attorney services and
insurance, medical, etc.). There is an ADVANCED OPTIONS button next to the keyword input box. Click on
Advanced Options will bring up the Search window. Here you can select a different zip-code or mile radius,
and you can select the Type of search.
You can select to search for Events, Real Estate, Vehicles, Jobs or the Items & Services. For each
search catagory there are different more specific search parameters. For instance, when searching
General Items/Services you can specify to search for Only Store ads, only Individual ads or both (default).
Say you are looking to buy a new set of tires for the truck. Goto the Advanced Search window, select Items/Services,
select the zip and radius, select business sales ads only and enter the keywords "Truck Tires", hit Search and
you will get a list of all sales for truck tires in your selected area.
You do not need to have an account to do searches.
Majic Alerts: the True Magic of the Majic Genie. What are Majic Ad Alerts?
You set them up similar to a search. Select the area to search, they Type of search, the
specific options for that type, and relavant keywords. Rather then this being a search, you set
it up as an Alert Request. (You can also set up an Event Alert, Job Alert, Real Estate Alert or Vehicle Alert)
Now, when an Ad is posted that matches your selected options
and keywords the Majic Genie will send you an alert either to your email or cell phone.
This is a very powerful feature of the Majic Genie. A feature EVERYONE wants to use. If your
looking for something, you no longer have to keep searching day after day looking to see when
someone posts that item or sale. Instead, you set up the Alert once and let the Genie do the
searching for you automatically. Then, like Majic, when someone or a business posts an Ad that
matches your alert, the Genie sends you an email or text message letting you know right away.
This feature alone everyone will use.

Majic Alerts: the True Magic of the Majic Genie. What are Majic Event Alerts?
They are the same as the Ad Alerts, except that you set them up to Alert you of a local Event
rather than an item or sale. You can also set up a Job Alert, Real Estate Alert or Vehicle Alert.
You set them up similar to a search. Select the area to search, select Event as type of Alert, the
date range, if wanted, and relavant keywords. Rather then this being a search for Events, you set
it up as an Event Alert Request. Now, when an Event is posted that matches your selected options
and keywords the Majic Genie will send you an alert either to your email or cell phone letting you know.

another event on a topic you are interested in. If an event organizer doesn't know about our

Price Quote Requests. This service can really be used for almost anything,
but was designed for getting price quotes on Services. For example, a large tree limb fell and
you need someone to come clean it up, or the puppy just passed on the carpet and you have a
party in 3 days. Enter in the keywords defining what you need, when and the Genie will match up
your request to the appropriate businesses that offer those services so they can then get back to
you with a quote. Instead of call all over for price quotes, you fill out one form and let the Genie do
his Majic.
Although this was conceived of for services type industry, you can request prices quotes on Goods
as well, and can use it as a sort of Bid and Offer system.

it is still in the process of being designed and built we can't give details about how it will

On Subscriptions Paid For A Year: When the number of contacts in your account exceed the maximum for the account size you have currently paid for, you will be billed on the following months on a month by month basis for the difference between the size account you had paid for (since you paid for the 1 year subscription, the 1 year subscription rates will be used).
For example: If you started paying for a 251-500 sized account ($96 for the year)
and on month 6 your contacts increased to above 500 (but less thatn 1001) then on those months the account is larger than 500 you will be billed the equivalent monthly difference, which would be an additional $4 per month.
There are no refunds should your account fall below the number of contacts once you have paid for a year's subscrition. But, you will only be charged more on the months that the account goes above the maximum.
On Subscriptions Paid Monthly: For months when the number of contacts in your account exceed the maximum for the account size you are currently paying for, you will be billed at the higher appropriate level.
For example: If you had paid for 12 months for a 251-500 sized account ($10 per month)
on months where the contacts increased to above 500 (but less thatn 1001) then on those months you will be billed $14 per month (or the difference, an addtional $4).
On Accounts paid Monthly, we do allow that should your contacts drop below the level of what you are currently paying for, we will drop you down to the next level for those monhths.
For example: If you had paid for 12 months for a 251-500 sized account ($10 per month)
on months where the contacts drops below 251 then on those months you will be billed $7 per month (the price for the level of contacts your account then currently has)
